I halved these ingredients, and omitted onion as I didn't have any on hand. But next time I'll be prepared. This is wonderful. Goes great as a dip or on a nice green salad.

We love veggies. I can get the boys to eat more, by providing a little ranch dip on the side. As I looked at the ingredients of our favorite store bought ranch dressing I realized I couldn't pronounce half the ingredients. I did count over twenty items of what was in there. Twenty! My gosh. And the cost of said store bought is just going up. So after a little searching, I found this. Nine ingredients that you can pronounce! Although this uses mayo, it tastes so much fresher! Let this rest in the fridge for a couple of hours, you won't go back to the bottled.

1 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tbsp finely chopped parsley

Whisk all ingredients in a bowl, store covered in the fridge for a few hours before serving. Makes two wonderful cups of great salad dressing that will last about a week, if you let it.
